Services

Consultation
I will be happy to consult with you over the phone about your pets unique situation.  I will guide you by providing information on the process of death, aftercare and memorializing your pet.  As you make these decisions, you will receive my expertise, understanding and support.
I also can provide an in home consultation on the day of your appointment.

Sedation
Your pet deserves for their last moments to be as peaceful as possible.  A sedative will be given to help minimize restraint and give your pet relief from pain and mental anxiety. This allows your pet to fall into a deep and gentle sleep in your presence.

Euthanasia
After your pet is fully sedated and you are ready, a solution will be given that stops the heart within a few minutes. I will then listen to the heart to let you know when your best friend has passed way. Afterwards, you may continue to spend time with your pet without distractions.

Grief Packet
An information packet on grief is given at each appointment.

Memorial Clay Paw Print
If you desire, a clay paw print can be made during the appointment.

After Care
Loving paws provides transportation and cremation options through a top class crematory service that services your area.  Please refer to the Aftercare page for further information.

The Day of Your Appointment
On the day of your appointment, please allow for an hour in your schedule.  This allows time for you to complete some paperwork, let your pet meet someone new and allow each drug to reach its maximum potential for the best results.

Should I Be There?

You may choose to be present at all times or to excuse yourself at anytime you wish.

Being present during euthanasia is a very personal decision. On one hand, you may not want your pet to be alone with strangers during their final moments. However, you may not be ready or able to watch your beloved pet pass from this life. Children may be included in any way that seems appropriate for their age and maturity; however, this is ultimately subject to your judgment. You may include anyone whom you believe your pet may wish to have present. Other pets are welcome. Whatever your thoughts may be, I will be happy to discuss your concerns and work with you toward a comfortable decision.
